Glamour Presley!.

With a new creative director on the line let's see what Balmain Spring 2012 collection was all about? since Christophe Decarnin no longer be at the Balmain Empire and Olivier Rousteing is the new creative director who worked for Christophe for 2 years, i know Oliver is still young and i am proud of him because he is now the creative director of a fashion empire at a very young age.

Balmain Spring collection, To me the pieces were a bit rock n roll Elvis Presley type with a touch of western fashion. At Balmain Spring you can see beautiful and intricate designs on blazers which is very Elvis Presley and Vegas , metallic and crystal accents, leather trousers, denim maxi skirt, Skinny jeans, slouchy tops, high waisted trousers and the most typical outfit for a western look, the Fringe!. Seriously i didn't like some of the outfit in this collection because it looks old, outdated, tacky and few people can only rock these outfits but there are also good outfits/pieces in this collection. this whole collection reminds me of Christophe Decarnin early work for Balmain.

Paris Fashion Week Review: Balmain Spring 2012

Mugler Woman will eat you!

Creative Director Nicola Formichetti at Thierry Mugler Women's ready-to-wear Spring 2012 collection with a color palette of nude, white and black, i think it was genius putting a superstar in a fashion show just like they did last Mugler at Paris Fashion Week putting Gaga in the runway and strutting her stuff more of a publicity stunt but this time Gaga is on the screen " short film " looking like a girl from a mental ward " i dont know that is my interpretation of it " back at the runway, it was composed of minimal, deconstructed looks very modern and on trend, i like it how these outfit look effortless and chic with those unconventional silhouettes with cut-outs and asymmetrical hemlines paired with lightweight outerwear, models look fierce and in character "hahaha! they are models and that's the most important thing they must do as a model, to stay in character ".

Paris Fashion Week Review: Thierry Mugler Spring 2012

I am a certified chocolate lover! Hershey, M&M'S, Sneakers, chocolate cakes, cupcakes etc.. here's the 3 easy steps recipe for one of my favorite chocolate desserts " Chocolate Truffles ".

chocolate truffle is a type of chocolate confectionery, traditionally made with a chocolate ganache center coated in chocolate or cocoa powder, usually in a spherical, conical, or curved shape. Other fillings may replace the ganache: cream, melted chocolate, caramel, nuts, almonds, berries, or other assorted sweet fruits, nougat, fudge, or toffee, mint, chocolate chips, marshmallow, and, popularly, liqueur.

The chocolate truffle was first created by M. Dufour in Chambéry, France in December 1895. They reached a wider public with the establishment of the Prestat chocolate shop in London by Antoine Dufour in 1902, which still sells 'Napoleon III' truffles to the original recipe. There are now three main types of chocolate truffles: American, European, and Swiss:

  • cooking spray
  • 12 ounces milk chocolate
  • 1/3 cup light cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons shortening

First Cover a baking sheet with wax paper, and spray paper with nonstick cooking spray. Melt milk chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Stir in the cream and vanilla. Spoon tablespoon-sized scoops of the chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate until well chilled, about 30 minutes.

Second Melt the chocolate chips in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in shortening.

Third Roll each piece of chilled chocolate into a ball. Use a spoon to dip chocolate balls into the melted chocolate chip mixture. Return truffles to baking sheet, and chill until firm.

With those three easy steps im sure you can make a delicious Chocolate truffles♥!
