Wo (menswear)

The Row pre-fall 2015

In my last post, I talked about how the menswear industry evolves throughout the years and how it's becoming more and more innovative and experimental. Also, because of the powerful impact that menswear brought in fashion, it's currently shaping the womenswear industry by being more and more similar to each other. You can't barely identify if it's for women or men, as brands infuse a more updated version of androgynous style in their designs, just like what we've seen in some of our favorite designers' pre-fall 2015 collections. Showcasing clean lines, strong and masculine cuts, muted color palette without losing that effortless feminine appeal to it. Trust me, I've been blogging about menswear and fashion over the past four years, and I think we're in the era where womenswear and menswear becomes one. You can't instantly identify which one is, in just one look. This pre-fall 2015 collections made me a lot excited on how it's going to be this season, there's a lot more designers who haven't launched their pre-fall collections. This is just a taste of it.

So guys, what do you think about the evolving side of womenswear? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? I wann hear your opinions :)

  3. I am amused how womenswear evolved through androgynous influence.I love how it leans towards comfort, functionality and versatility yet exudes power and sophistication. Impeccably made pieces with new shapes, lengths and silhouette flatters bigger market of women these days.

  12. I love androgyny so I love the trend! I just choose to personally balance it out with some intricate lace up stilettos or a feathered clutch or something…but for runway I think this is all totally great. Esp digging The Row for Pre-Fall.
