A little bit of my life

I love taking photos, one of the main reasons why I created this blog. My laptop and hard drive is full of photos of myself wearing sartorial outfits, landscapes, event photos, photos of my family, friends and anything that I find interesting or cool. So that's why I've decided to create a new kind of entry here in my blog that focuses on the personal side of my life. This will just be a quick rundown of what I'm doing or what's happening in my life right now (life update). I'm trying to bring back the real essence of blogging, sharing true and personal stories to the whole world, not  just all business and advertising. To be honest, I kinda' hate where my blog is going right now, yeah I admit it, its super fun to have all these brands that wants to collaborate and do business with you, but sometimes its kinda' sad and tiring, because I just want to sit at home and write how I truly feel and I felt like I'm losing the true essence of blogging or how I want my blog to be. If you will give me one chance to change a single thing in the blogging industry, probably to bring it back what it used to be. I miss reading fashion blogs that focuses more on real people, unplanned ootd shoots, bloggers who repeat clothes, bloggers that don't look like supermodels, photos taken by their digital cameras, weird and funny blog posts, rants and every aspect of blogging back in the day. Yeah... those are the things that I misses the most in the blogging industry.

Moving on, so.. what going on in my life right now? hmmmm.. well I'm very productive and always on the go. My life right now is never dull,  full of inspirations and positive energy surrounding me.

  2. I definitely know what you mean, regarding blogging––how that "raw" aspect is missing in a lot of blogs. I will say, though, that I do repeat clothes and that I'm not a supermodel (obvi). Ha. Missing the Philippines right now!

  3. I couldn't agree more with you. I've been struggling with a "blog identity" crises myself. I've veered so off path I don't even know where to go or how to get back to what I originally intended to produce. I've been so focused on keeping up with the Jonses that I've essentially lost my purpose for starting in the first place. I wish everyone would just be real. Admit to eating greasy pizza on a Friday night and wearing slouchy sweat pants rather than glossing that over for some event were they get to wear some snazzy outfit and fill the page with affiliate links only so people will click to make them some dough. I get we all need to make a living but I wish bloggers would be more genuine and authentic while doing it. You can make money wearing the same thing twice or styling it differently. Same goes for sweats.

    1. BTW I also miss the genuine comments people would live years ago. They'd leave a comment because something in your words or post incited something deep within and they wanted to share their opinion. These days it's more about publicizing your brand and getting visitors and follows. "follow me" has become one of my most despised phrases EVER

  5. Cute photos and I totally agree with you. I also feel like sometimes all the collaborations and sponsored posts stifle my creativity somehow. But I think we need to get over some sort of fence and then brands will start being more open with us and what we produce

  9. I feel you. And that is exactly why I don't accept too many ads (in fact, I don't have any right now), sponsored posts, and reviews. Most of my posts are really of my personal experiences. I don't want to lose the real essence of blogging when it started. I always remember that blogging is my passion and by passion we mean that you love something so much that you're willing to do it for free or in my case, not earn anything from it. It's still okay to write sponsored posts from time to time but at least there's a limit to it. :) Happy blogging!

  10. Hi Michael! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! First of all I gotta say I LOVED your logo, the concept is so simple yet clever and it looks sophisticated.
As for your post, I can totally relate to how you feel, I do understand that blogging is a career AND a business for some and that's great but that shouldn't interfere with the essence of blogging. I remember one particular time when I tapped a photo of and it blogger on IG and the amount of brands she was wearing in her outfit (that were tagged on that photo) almost covered the entire picture! That image was kind of shocking to me 'cause I found it quite metaphorical, like it speaks for itself if you think about it.
    Have a great day!
