Is it me or I felt like Instagram killed my productivity in posting a new blog entry or updating this blog. I researched the web if there are other bloggers who's experiencing this kind of situation, and surprisingly I'm not the only one. Ever since Instagram dominated the world wide web, it affected the blogging industry both good and bad. With Instagram, anyone can be a blogger or act like a blogger, you can post outfit photos regularly, get sponsored by brands and online shops and get paid by doing it. All the perks of being a seasoned fashion blogger can be achieved by an Instagrammer (Instagram famous) in just a matter of months, that's the good side of being consistent and active on Instagram. Well, the downside part of that, brands and agencies prefer Instagram users with huge followers than fashion bloggers with huge page views and has a loyal interaction with their readers. I guess brands and those agencies are just too lazy to research or even ask a blogger's statistics, that's why they prefer Instagram users with huge followers because they can instantly see the results of the reach of it, unlike with bloggers, agencies have no idea if the stuff they gave to a specific blogger reached the expected amount of views and exposure.
Those are the reasons why I'm losing my productivity in blogging as of the moment. I'm trying to increase my influence on Instagram, to make it balance and build a healthy relationship with my followers and readers. Also to attract new readers here on my blog. Don't worry guys, I'm not hating those people who successfully monetized and grow their Instagram accounts, in fact most of my friends right now are creative as hell and famous on Instagram. I'm just stating my sentiments on how Instagram killed my productivity in blogging. I'm also hoping that the art of blogging won't die after a couple of years.
